ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Steve Parker is the author of the best selling Paterson & Clocks Detective novels set in the Bermondsey area of South London.

Born and raised in South-East London himself, he knew he wanted to be a writer from a young age after reading all of Ed McBain’s 47th Precinct stories, a couple of James Herbert’s and a few of Stephen King’s. Full of the cockiness of youth, he thought he could do better. He turned out to be completely wrong largely because he was not even in the same ball park let alone the same league as those guys. It also didn’t help he never wrote anything…

He joined the Metropolitan Police at age 22 and had a right old laugh while serving on a number of high profile squads before retiring with a knackered back.

With way too much time on his hands he wrote the first of the Paterson & Clocks books to the delight and horror of a great many people at the grand old age of… (he said to shut up and say nothing).

Steve lives on the South coast with his wife, his Cockapoo dog and a vast array of bad weather clothing. He won’t tell you where just in case you should decide to mob him in the streets. He’s English and easily embarrassed by that sort of thing.
